I know, no one needs this amount of minty, pale green nail polishes in their collection!… but look closely- I definitely wear them!
I originally started with just 4 polishes to compare, forgetting about Essie’s Mint Candy Apple. I eventually added the Essie one on my thumb, and repeated them on my right hand for a full manicure.
The five polishes in the very top image are: Essie Mint Candy Apple, Sally Hansen Mint Sorbet, Revlon Minted, Urban Outfitters Smush, OPI Hey! Get In Lime.
The first coat was streaky for all polishes. That tends to be the case for really pale, very white colors. Hey! Get in Lime was the most jelly-like, the others were more opaque
Mint Candy Apple and Smush are nearly IDENTICAL.
Mint Sorbet and Minted are also VERY close to one another, but Mint Sorbet required only 2 coats while Minted required 3, leaving bubbles behind. I think my bottle is getting a little thick- and could use a drop or two of thinner. This would solve the bubble-thick problem, but I don’t remember it ever starting off that way.
OPI’s Hey! Get in Lime held up the best, but it being on the pinkie has something to do with it. If I were to buy these all over again, I would probably skip Revlon’s Minted, and keep Sally Hansen’s Mint Sorbet for the light pale greeny- yellowy representative of my collection. This surprises me because Minted was my fav for a while! Mint Sorbet got the job done is less time with less coats for a nearly identical color. Smush wore about the same amount of time as Mint Candy Apple so it’s a toss up between those two. Depending on which is easier for you to be a hold of, both are great polishes! ..and of course I’d buy Hey! Get in Lime by OPI all over again. It’s a bit squishy and jelly like, unlike other pale mint polishes out there. It’s discontinued but keep your eyes peeled at places like ebay and so on. <3 ya! Happy Monday…..

I just bought Mint Candy Apple and it seems like a pain in the butt to get it to look nice.. Eehhh
Yes, it’s a bit of a pain- and I think I prefer the brush for Smush too- it’s a great color but yes, a bit of a pain!
