First off, please excuse the chip we have going on with my middle finger. I actually trimmed down my nails quite a bit today. Since I hadn’t taken a ton of time for my nails this week, they were growing and growing with no filing! Eventually there was a chip and I had to work with it. Le sigh.

I’ve been wearing Wednesday by Zoya for a few days now! I do love this pretty turquoise cream color. The shade is flattering, the formula is perfect in 2 coats. Pretty.

Whoa bright! I received my Julep Maven box a few days ago. I saw this gorgeous, super bright blue shade and knew I needed to try it! Ally is a very intense blue. I normally trim my nails way down for these shades but I didn’t want to part with my length this time around!

This image highlights it’s only flaw, if you have thin nails are peel problems, it may seem more obvious with this color. In person, it isn’t quite as apparent but it’s there!

I love just how bright it is! OH! And I forgot it’s other flaw!

Do you guys own this one? Did you notice anything weird about it? The smell! There’s something about the scent of this one, it is very off. Very pungent. Very strange.

I feel like I’m flip flopping between it’s gorgeous colors and it’s strange attributes. What can I say!? Love you guys!

After finishing my last post, I go onto Instagram to see my best friend took a picture of her GORGEOUS nails for Easter! My goodness, makes me rethink what I was doing with myself last night. Why on earth wasn’t I creating something this beautiful!

…Other than the fact most of my polishes are packed, hello! How fun and colorful! And the shape? Linds normally goes more square, but this rounded look mimics Easter eggs and it works perfectly!

I just love the pastels, and the color combos, and LOOK at her ring finger. Well done, Linds! Love you! Miss you! Can’t wait for your visit in May!!! We’ll paint our nails all 6 days long.

This month’s (March) Julep box came with some Spring themed beauties! I received Joy and Leila this month. I love Joy, it’s very low key but quite pretty. Leila, is a bit more daring! I actually pulled it out of the box thinking it was a yellow but with a bit of a green-ish quality to it. Which is a good thing, since I already own a few light yellows to date.

The formula was a bit thick and overall, an EH experience. You can tell that near the edges of the cuticle, it’s a tad jaggedy. That tends to happen when the polish is goopy and floods the cuticles during application. Removing it from my skin was tricky! MEH, for sure.

I planned on wearing it through Easter. (we are moving in a few days, so unfortunately my polishes are packed for the most part = nothing to work with for an Easter mani, harumpf), but I removed it because I wasn’t hugely a fan.

Sinful Colors is the best! I just love this brand, I’m constantly finding interesting colors with great formulas for such a great price. Today’s nail color is called Pistache. I kept thinking it would be named Pistachio but that is not the case!

I have many-a-mint colors in my stash but this one is brighter, more saturated and yellow toned! The formula was a tad thick but quite decent. Perfect for Easter, very spring green!

I received the sweetest surprise at work last Thursday! One of the doctors that works in my department loves nail polish as much as I do. We’ve gone in on orders to Zoya once before, we just have a small bond over how much we love this stuff! Well, this color by Sindie Pop! called Golden Raspberries didn’t work out on her skin tone so she gifted it to me. How thoughtful and exciting!!! I thought that was the sweetest thing.

I had been wearing Joy by Julep for a little while and thought it would look perfect over top. And I was right! I layered 2 coats of Sindie Pop! Golden Raspberries and finished with a top coat (nothing fancy, my same ole Creative Nail Design Shiney Top Coat, misspelled like that:)

I love this combo, and I really love the fact that she’s unintentionally gearing me up for looking into the indie nail polish world! I had been trying to stay away for some time, for the sake of my wallet… but I now seem to have no choice.

I just researched Sindie Pop! for you, click this link if you’re interested in this color! (they have no idea who I am, not a referral link or anything of the sort).

My only gripe is that the sticker covers a ton of the bottle, I want to see more polish! That, and the sticker isn’t waterproof. I washed my hands and came over to paint my nails, and realized my damp fingers could smudge the writing! But that’s because this stuff is homemade, ya know? Love it.

Today’s nail post is absolutely subtle and work appropriate!

Julep’s Joy polish came in the mail a few days ago… absolutely perfect timing.

Not to get much into the specifics of my day job, but this time of year I coordinate a fellowship for a certain department within a medical establishment- i.e. I like to be a tad more professional with my nails!

If you like this sort of mauve shade, Joy is a perfect polish for you!

Can you believe this is just one coat? The polish is a tad thick, but not quite goopy. Very pretty.

Today’s polish is just so much prettier in person! This is Revlon Nail Art dual ended polish in Silhouette. If you want to see it in action, check out my latest video with me wearing it :)

I’m using the nude shade- 2 coats on each nail. It applies perfectly and has enough grey in it to make the neutral very flattering and not as tricky to pull off. This reminds me of Revlon’s Grey Suede from a while back with a better formula. If you want to see a swatch, check it here!

We are getting all packed up to move so my Revlon Grey Suede is packed away so I’ll have to compare later on!

I haven’t used the taupe shimmery end yet. It has a very fine brush, specifically to nail art as the name “Nail Art Expressionist” suggests! Very pretty and among my favorites in nudes.

Today’s manicure is an OPI polish from the Muppet’s collection a while back. This one is a silver-y foil neutral polish with super tiny little rose gold flecks. The tiny specks of color give some dimension.

Depending on how the light hits it, determines how flawless this polish makes your nails look! The image on the left looks lovely, perfectly smooth. The image on the right shows the imperfections. I’m pretty sure I’m the only one noticing this in real life, but I did want to mention if your nails have pealed at all (my pointer finger tip, right image), it shows up with this finish.

Ultimately, I love the color! I think it’s a nice neutral, not so bold color for everyday. This is 3 coats. xxoo!

Today’s nail look is in bad shape!

I painted my nails last night with this, but somehow the top coat finish has nearly vanished. Size Matters by Essie is actually more red-wine toned than this appears here. This is what the polish looks like in the sunlight. A pretty, very saturated red.

Cleaning up this polish near the cuticle was tricky too! The red would kind of smear all over. Do you own this one? What do you think?
