Hey everyone! How’ve you all been? Weather has been absolutely fantastic here in Chicago lately. Quality of life has shot up at least 10 points!
I’ve been wearing this gorgeous, sparkly, celebratory manicure since Tuesday. What’s pictured is 2 coats of Sally Hansen Lavender Cloud with one dabbed layer of Wet-n-Wild Party of Five Glitters.
I had a subscriber ask how I apply this polish and thin coats over a dried base color may work- but this time I kind of globbed it on for a thicker layer. This was both good and bad! The good is that it was quicker, and quite evenly spaced.. but the bad is if you apply too much, it looks a little too busy. I really like seeing a lot more of the background for a confetti-like look. My ring finger bugs me, there’s too much going on! Isn’t that funny how you can scrutinize the placement of your glitters?
Another bummer, (in person you don’t notice at all, really, but the picture amplifies the problem) there are bubbles created in the clear base. Boooo. But they are mixed in with spotty glitters so it’s hardly detectible! Yayyyy.

Neutrogena’s Healthy Skin is a new staple in my collection. Garnier has been impressing me with it’s makeup/ eye serum blend. And China Glaze has produced some gloomy and subtle treasures. For those of you who might not be loving the in-your-face lipstick look this spring, the second picture shows the lipstick blotted with tissue. You can take it a step further and dilute it with a bit of a pink or nude gloss. Plan on picking this one up? xo

This is a blue palette I can work with. MUCH more wearable for a daytime look (in my opinion) than big papa 8 pan, Blue Had Me At Hello. The top and bottom colors are cool based, very cornflower-esque and wearable. The middle shade is a chocolate brown that layers well over the blues (though on its own it can be powdery). The brown doesn’t get too muddy, it blends allowing the shimmers to shine through. $2.99, not too shabby!
